Holcombe Waller‘s music career began in the late ’90s while he was an art major at Yale, where he produced two albums with the Dessner Brothers and Bryan Devendorf, who went on to form the National.
The trio returned the favor when they played on Waller’s Advertising Space while Dessner contributed to his 2001 release, Extravagant Gesture.
Now a resident of Portland, OR, Waller’s work includes everything from theater to performance art to video installations. On the 22nd of this month, he’ll release another album called Into The Dark Unknown, a compendium of music from his theater performance of the same name.
His music tender and beautiful.
