Putting aside the well-documented background about the song’s origin, “Go Your Own Way” is Fleetwood Mac’s finest for one simple reason: it’s not afraid to rock but it doesn’t say so until the chorus when Mick kicks into straight fours and Stevie adds the harmonies. The rest is Lindsey’s, layers of guitars slathered on the mix and one of his best solos ever, period.
